Away from home

So today I flew from Silver City to Albquerque so I could fly to Denver tomorrow. I'm going there to do work from our home office. It was really hard for me to leave my house. Adam had left already for his work, but I swear Blitz didn't want me to leave. I felt so bad for him and he kept sraring at me like, "mom, where are you and the baby going? Can I go with?". I felt really bad and I started to miss Adam already and I broke down and cried. I was so shooken up I actually got lost to th airport. I was fine when I got there though.

So the silver city airport is pretty small. I called there because I was lost and the nice lady gave me directions and told me someone would stand outside along the road. So when I got closer sure enough she was out there. As I got closer I was really confused. It seemed like a geisha doll, but I kep driving. Then she started waving-the lady waiting for me was dressed like a geisha for halloween. I was trying not to laugh at her, she had a black wig on, kimono, and her face was white with red lipstick. * half hour later I got on my 14 passenger plane. I was the only one. I walked to the runway and then got on and we took off immediately. The flight was fast. Now I'm in my hotel in Alb and missing adam really bad and I already wish I were home. At least its only a week.

One more Adam characteristic-i like black olives and guacamole now. I dispised those before. More signs of baby clark inside me!

First Belly Picture

17 weeks-I call it 18:)
Here is the first belly picture!  I'm finally starting to show.  This week my belly really popped.  It happened kind of out of the blue.  Usually my belly looks big in the mornings and then right after I go to the bathroom it looks normal.  But this time, I went to the bathroom and my belly stayed that way afterward.  It's really exciting and I love it.  Although I had a small breakdown that my jeans didn't button, I got over it and Adam took me out to dinner.  I have a huge appetite an as of today I've gained 7lbs.  Next appointment is 11/17 and we will find out the sex!

WNMU vs University of Nebraska Kearney

This weekend's game started out really exciting, within the first 5 minutes the defense created a turnover and we scored our first points against the 9th ranked team in the country.  We were up until the second quarter (24-7) until they started catching up on us.  They were un-stoppable.  The offense did a lot better this game but unfortunately, the defense just couldn't stop them.  The game ended 56-31.  I felt really bad.  Full story click here.

WNMU vs UNK

Adam was upset but he was in a good attitude when he got home and was talking to the baby about what happened and what they could have done better.  It was really cute.  He spent the rest of the night watching the game tape, while I slept next to him.  I was exhausted and had a headache I think from too much sun.

BABY THURSDAY!

Today I had my 17wk check up.  Everything was great.  I officially gained 5lbs since I started according to their scale.  I shoved a sausage mcmuffin and hash brown down my throat before I went so I wouldn't miss McDonalds breakfast.  I also wore some really high heel heavy boots so I thought that would help with the weight gain. I think this is the only time in my life where I actually want to weigh more and have a big belly.  I'm starting to finally get a little bump, but not that noticeable w/cloths on.

The baby tests came back all normal and my blood pressure and all those other tests are perfectly normal which the doctor loved.  She said normal is good and was happy with my growth.  The doctor's appointment was really quick and we just went over my general health and then we heard the baby's heartbeat.  It was so amazing to hear the heartbeat again.  It was so cute and I felt so close to the baby.  He/She was moving a lot so she kept having to find it again but we heard it for a while and it was a strong heartbeat.

Next appointment is 11/17 and we will know the sex of the baby!!

Adam's baby

The real way to eat pie
One more thing for the day...There is no doubt I'm having Adam's baby, but what really made me laugh the other day was yesterday I was craving a cheeseburger (which I never eat red meat) so I drove through fast food and ate one.  It made me grossed out so I gave the rest to Blitz, but then when I came home I caught myself eating pumpkin pie right out of the pan-not even cutting a slice.  And I didn't even cover it with whip cream...I literally scooped one thing of whipped cream then scooped one bite of pie and then shoved it in my mouth.  All characteristics of the baby Adam carnivore/sweet tooth growing inside me. I love it.

Being Pregnant

I have to say, I really love being pregnant.  I'm feeling great my second trimester and I really love the thought of a little baby growing inside me.  I think it's the rush of hormones that make me feel this way but I do really love being pregnant.  I'm feeling more and more movement and it's really exciting.  Right now the baby is about the size of a turnip-whatever size that is.  I usually don't spend a lot of time reviewing turnips.  I can feel my stomach stretching too, I get these sharp pains all of a sudden that happen sometimes when I move to fast.  Tomorrow I go for another check up for 17 weeks.  Then my next appointment will be to find out the sex of the baby!  I think we finally found a boys name that we liked-Kayden.  I think that is such a cute boy name.  We are still using Lena for a girl-just like the hometown my Dad grew up in and where my Grandparents were from.

Finding Baby Names

1st blog for me. I have really tried to find a Korean name that would work for our baby that meant something cool, but none of them really sound that great as name in a English speaking country. Duck Yun, Ming Sun, they just don't really work. There were some that were all terms for Kung Fu and had meanings like low kick or block with arm, they were pretty sweet. So, we are still searching, for boy names. We just came across, Kadyn and kind of like that one.

Football has been taking up lots of time as always and it has been a tough year, but we are getting better and the kids are still working hard. Hope to pull out a few more w this year. Time to go to a meeting and then make some recruiting calls as we try to turn this program into winner. I miss Mimi during football, but it is part of the gig, so I have to deal with it on a pretty regular basis. She is starting to show a little, but that will change a lot soon. It is an exciting time in our life right now, not much time to relax, but it is all good.

SAU

Little SAU beanie and socks
Yesterday Kate sent me this adorable package of SAU baby stuff!  It's the first St. Ambrose stuff we've received.  It's so cute.  There was a little blanket, sippy cup and a beanie with socks.  It was all perfect for a little baby tailgate.  Adam loved the little cap.

Weight Gain

Today I'm headed into week 17.  This Thursday I will officially be 17 weeks-I count it as 18 though as last time we went we were a week ahead of schedule.  But, so far I've only gained 4 lbs.  At this point I wish I had a huge belly and it actually looked like I was pregnant.  Instead I just look like I eat a lot and am lazy.  I guess maybe my Zumba has helped me maintain my weight, but seriously I hope it starts pushing out soon, because I don't want to be one of those people on that TLC show who has like no signs of pregnancy and then all of a sudden is at the park and the baby falls out on their shoes.  I mean, how can people NOT know they are pregnant.  DUMB.

Chadron VS WNMU

After traveling through 6 states, the Mustangs lost to their opponent Chadron state, 31-7.  Full Story Click Here

Now you're probably wondering why 6 states:  Well the team started in New Mexico, drove the bus to Tucson, AZ airport-flew to San Diego then landed in Denver.  (It was the only way to get to Denver at the earliest time). Once in Denver, they got the vans, drove up to Wyoming and then to the final destination Nebraska!  Yes-6 states.

2 step: Step and Step-in-law sisters

Yesterday my step sister Paige found out she is having a baby girl :).  My step sister lives in Davenport with her husband Eric-I actually helped them find their first home there.  Paige is due in March.

Now, the more interesting thing is that my step brother Jim-his wife Jordan is having a baby as well in May!  Jim and Jordan live in Georgia.  Jim has a son Atley from a previous marriage and the baby to come will be their first child together.

So-my dad will have lots of grand children in the spring.   Paige-March, Me-April and Jordan-May.  Ahi yai yai!!!!

First Conference Win

Purple celebration shots
Today was Adam's first conference win!  Score was 20-10 against Mesa State.  It was a home game and it was very exciting to see it happen.  The team played well and you could notice a huge difference in their attitudes.  It's also nice to hear in the stands everyone talk about how awesome the program is doing and how good the head coach is :)

2nd Trimester

14 weeks

Everything has been going fabulous my second trimester!  I fell so amazing and I don't have heartburn or feel tired any more.  My Zumba lessons are still going great and I've even added a class on Tuesdays.  Adam's halfway through his football season and is 3-3 so far.  It's really exciting going to the games and having the baby with me.  It's like my little partner in crime that no one can see yet.  I love it.
